Queer artists are facing a double-sided crisis.
In 2025, the art market saw a global decline in sales, with public and private funding for diversity-led projects drastically cut in response to changing sociopolitical sentiments.
All major social platforms including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok, is failing to provide safety for the LGBTQ+ community*. Algorithms now frequently mislabel queer artwork as “explicit,” leading to shadowbanning, demonetization, and wrongful account removals.

2020-2024: Our story began as Pink Canvas Project, a blog and Instagram account dedicated to showcasing the works of LGBTQ+ artists from around the world. During COVID, opportunities for gallery and exhibition shows dwindled, as well as teaching, sales, and networking. It drew an incredible response during that time, growing to a network of followers, and a tremendous amount of submissions to be featured.
Late-2024: Pink Canvas Project officially rebranded to Queer Art Hub with a wider mission to democratize the process for queer artists and their artwork.
Early-2025: Dear Queer Artist soft launched Queer Art Hub’s platform to a pool of engaged artists in its network for early sign up to their artist pages.
June 2025: Queer Art Hub launched its Beta version during Pride Month alongside a partnership with St Martins Lane London, and announced an added feature, Community Classifieds, to engage the wider queer art community into its ecosystem.
2026: Queer Art Hub successfully proves its MVP and plans to scale up for investment and seed funding ⬇️.
